Brazil affirmed its stance which calls for solving the crisis in Syria through dialogue, rejecting any foreign military intervention in the country's internal affairs.
"Geneva Statement is one of the basic factors to resolve the crisis in Syria.. Brazil stance is harmonized with stances of the BRICS groups," Brazil Foreign Ministry's Undersecretary General for Political Affairs Paulo Cordeiro De Andrade Pinto said during a meeting with Syria Consul in Brazil Ghassan Obeid.
He underlined Brazil's rejection of arming the terrorist groups which exploits the crisis in Syria as a sole track to impose their agendas on the situation there.
Pinto, Obeid and a number of diplomats discussed the latest developments in Syria and the volume of conspiracy against Syria as well as the national stance of the Syrian people and their adherence to their leadership.
The Brazilian official said that his government welcomes the efforts of the Syrian government to continue dialogue with the Brazilin counterpart to solve some obstacles that face the Brazilian diplomatic mission in Damascus.
The two sides reviewed means of consolidating bilateral relations and activating the cultural and trade ties between the two countries
