The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Friday that the Russian landing ship Alexander Shabalin, which is part of the Russian Baltic fleet, left Novorossiysk and is bound for Syria, carrying a shipment to the technical support point in Tartous harbor.
The main goal of this trip is to deliver consumable materials and spare parts for a floating repair workshop to the support point.
The ship will leave Tartous on April 17th to carry out tasks with other ships from the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean.
