Lebanese caretaker Foreign Minister, Adnan Mansour stressed the necessity for ending the crisis in Syria as soon as possible through political solution.
Mansour's comments came during his meeting on Monday with Venezuela's deputy foreign minister, David Velasquez.
For his part, Velasquez underscored Venezuela's willingness to bolster bilateral relations with Lebanon in various fields.
Venezuela has condemned foreign interference in the Syrian internal affairs through providing weapons to the armed terrorist groups, considering that it constitutes a flagrant violation of Syria's sovereignty, territorial safety and political independence.
Mansour: Solving Crisis in Syria Starts with Ending Violence
Lebanon's FM stressed that any initiative to solve the crisis in Syria should highlight the importance of ending violence as to start the national dialogue.
The remarks came during Mansour's meeting with a European delegation comprising members of European civil organizations and former ministers and MPs in Beirut on Monday.
Members of the delegation warned against the spread of the takfiri forces in Syria and the region. The delegation is scheduled to visit Syria on Tuesday where it will meet a number of Syrian officials.
