Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdullahian, said the Syrian army's successive victories in its war on terrorism and extremists were due to the steadfastness of the army and the support of the Syrian people.
In a statement on Monday, Abdullahian criticized as " useless" the decision of arming terrorists, saying that this decision will not reach its goals.
He renewed Iran's refusal of any form of foreign intervention in Syria, saying: " Iran supports the Syrian people and political reforms launched by the Syrian leadership,"
" We are witnessing a new approach of the war of the United States' allies in the region against Syria, " the Iranian official said, adding: " The enemies of the resistant axis of Washington's allies are targeting the Syrian people because of Syria's resistant role against the Zionist entity."
On the crisis in Bahrain, Abdullahian criticized the Bahraini authorities' use of the chemical gas against the Bahraini people, calling on the authorities to address the political crisis by adopting political solutions instead of launching random charges against Iran and Syria.
