Iran reiterates need to solve crisis in Syria through dialogue and political routes
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that one of the most significant and concerning problems is the gathering of the terrorists from all the countries of the region and other states in Syria, asserting the need for settling the crisis in Syria through dialogue and political routes.

During a meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, in Tehran on Monday, Rouhani said "We have identical views towards the crisis in Syria and we believe that the crisis in Syria should be solved by dialogue and political routes."

He added that the axis of the Iranian government\'s foreign policy is realizing security and stability based on further cooperation with the countries of the region.

In a relevant context, Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, in a meeting with Berri, expressed hope that sound logic and rationalism would rule among the influential countries in the region for solving the regional problems, including the crisis in Syria.

Zarif referred to his recent meeting with the UN envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, in Geneva, asserting that Iran is ready for using its full political capacities and potentials, side by side with the other countries in the region, to contribute to resolving the crisis in Syria, particularly in human dimension.

For his part, the Lebanese Parliament Speaker pointed out to the critical situation in the region, warning against the spreading of the repercussions of the crisis in Syria into Lebanon
