Lebanese caretaker Foreign and Expatriates Minister Adnan Mansour stressed that Lebanon will attend the international Geneva 2 conference on Syria and has a clear vision and firm position regarding the conference.
Lebanon received last Tuesday an official invitation to attend the conference from the UN General-Secretary Ban Ki-moon.
According to the invitation statement, the international conference on Syria will be held on the level of foreign ministers and led by Ki-moon in Montreux city in Switzerland on January 22.
In a radio interview published Friday, Mansour said it is none of Lebanon’s business if others are annoyed about its participation in the conference, stressing that his country has a clear vision and firm position that serves its interest in the first place by attending the conference.
Mansour earlier expressed a clear stand in rejection of the aggression on Syria
