Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdullahian on Monday said that combating terrorism and extremism, working on finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria and offering humanitarian aid to the Syrian people are Iran’s political priorities.
During a meeting with Belgian Special Envoy for Syria, Marc Otte, in Tehran , Abdullahian pointed out to the food and medical aid presented by the Iranian people to the Syrian people in coordination with the Syrian government.
In turn, Otte stressed the necessity of coordination with the Red Crescent in Syria, Iran and other European countries for finding mechanism to offer humanitarian aid to the Syrian people.
Both sides discussed the issues of terrorism and means of combating it and the presence of European terrorists fighting in Syria.
Belgian intelligence reports unveiled that 5000 European terrorists have joined the terrorists in Syria and Iraq.
