Tehran: Terrorism Syria suffers from has no relation to democracy
Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council Ali Larijani affirmed that western countries and the US deal with terrorism in a tactical way, in reference to terrorist acts in Syria.

Larijani, in a speech at a forum in Hormozgan province in south Iran, refuted allegations of some western and regional states on Democracy in Syria, adding that a number of regional countries which back terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq have never run democratic elections throughout history.

In this regard, Larijani revealed that some states sent messages to Tehran since the beginning of the crisis in Syria asking it to change its stance towards Syria, claiming that the behavior of the extremist groups could be controlled and alleging that their practices in Syria were because that "Syrian government was not democratic", but these allegations were unbelievable for Iran.

He added that founding armed terrorist groups in the region has created many problems in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Libya.

Abdullahian: US administration behind emergence of terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq

Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affair Hossein Amir Abdullahian stressed that the US administration is the reason for the emergence of the terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq.

Iranian Fars News agency quoted Abdullahian as saying that the Americans seek to exploit the political developments in Iraq for their own advantage.

Earlier, Abdullahian affirmed that the Iraqi people and army are able to confront the terrorist campaign against their country without any foreign interference, while the Iranian Foreign Ministry expressed its full rejection of the US military intervention in Iraq.

Terrorist groups from the so-called "Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) have been on the offensive in Iraq, capturing Iraqi cities, including Mosul, Iraq\'s second-largest.
