President of Iran Hassan Rouhani asserted that the Syrian people are the ones who will decide Syria’s future, calling for acting in a unified manner to confront terrorist organizations. Rouhani told NPR radio in an interview that when it comes to the future of Syria, “at the end of the day, the last word and the most important word is spoken by the people of Syria,” and that those allied against ISIS must come together and act in unison to drive out the terrorists immediately. The Iranian President said that Iran has no problem with discussing what comes after ending the threat of terrorism in Syria, but he also stressed that the Syrian must be involved in drafting a plan of action in this regard. In another interview, this given to CNN, Rouhani said that “In Syria, when our first objective is to drive out terrorists and combating terrorists to defeat them, we have no solution other than to strengthen the central authority and the central government of that country as a central seat of power.”
