Education Ministry announces results of basic education and Sharia elementary certificates
The Ministry of Education announced on Wednesday the results of the basic education (9th grade) and Sharia elementary certificates for the 2017 school year.

Education Minister Hazwan al-Waz said in a press conference that 249,669 students took the basic education exam, and 164,369 passed at a percentage of 65.83%.

He added that 2,795 students took the exams of the Sharia elementary certificate, and 2,370 of them passed at a percentage of 84.73%.
