Creating an appropriate atmosphere for the return of the Syrian refugees to their homeland is underway with all administrative, logistical and executive measures being adopted, State Minister for National Reconciliation Affairs said Wednesday.

“Exploiting the file of the displaced Syrians in Lebanon is no different from that in the neighboring countries in terms of political blackmail and the extent of corruption,” Minister Ali Haidar said during a meeting with the Lebanese Ambassador to Syria Saad Zakhia, adding that this file is utilized under the names of humanity.

“Large number of citizens will return soon to their homes in the city of Deir Ezzor, southeastern countryside of Aleppo, Damascus Countryside and other areas, Minister Haidar continued to say.

Ambassador Zakhia stressed the need for continuous coordination between the two countries in light of the circumstances and changes taking place in the region to find a mechanism for dealing with files of common interest.
