The Hasaka Health Directorate launched on Sunday a subnational polio vaccination campaign.

Health Director Mohammad Rashad Khalaf explained that vaccination campaign will continue until January 18th and targets about 230,000 children under five years old in all the areas of the province.

The director also said that the campaign is carried out through 45 fixed health centers and 50 mobile teams, with 700 members of medical and nursing staff participating in it, adding that all the medical equipment, tools, and vaccines are provided in coordination with the Health Ministry.

This campaign is the first of its kind in the province in 2018.
