A Bill for fighting cyber crimes

The Council of Ministers approved during its meeting held today, chaired by the Prime Minister Dr. Adel Safar, the draft law, on regulating the Internet and the fighting cyber crimes.

The bill aims to organizing the work on the sites, defining the rights and obligations of service providers and content, on caching the offenses and crimes related to information and ensuring the rights of users of the network.

The Cabinet also discussed the draft law on the environment, in order to establish the basic rules for safety and protect the environment.

The Council decided in light of the discussion, to return the bill to the Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs, to complete the study and present it to the Council at a future date.
