The cabinet on Tuesday hailed the great victories achieved by the Syrian army in its operations against the armed terrorist groups that will result in restoring security and stability to the homeland.
During its weekly session chaired by Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi, the cabinet highlighted the wide popular relief over these victories, referring to the positive impact they have on the national dialogue process.
Al-Halqi stressed that the army's victories have reflected positively on the internal situation, saying that the next stage "demands more work from all of us to prepare for the process of reconstruction after the crisis comes to an end soon."
He reiterated that "victory is close" and that the government will soon take serious economic measures that can enhance the capabilities of the national economy and reflect positively on the citizens' livelihood.
Premier al-Halqi also hailed the positive outcomes of the meetings held by the ministerial committee in charge of implementing the political program to solve the crisis, saying those meetings will result in holding the national dialogue conference in Syria.
The cabinet was briefed by the ministers of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs and Internal Trade and Consumer Protection on the latest political developments on the Arab and international arenas and on the economic and service situation in the country.
Prime Minister Forms Committees to Supervise Collecting Wheat in All Provinces
Prime Minister, Dr. Wael al-Halqi, issued on Tuesday a decision stipulating the formation of subcommittees in all Syrian provinces headed by governors to supervise colleting the crop of wheat for season 2013.
The decision stated that the task of the subcommittees is preventing trade in wheat inside Syria, except through the General Establishment for Wheat Trade, in addition to confiscating all wheat amounts stored by producers that exceed the personal consumption needs which are estimated at 200 kgs.
Each subcommittee is composed of representatives of the Justice Ministry, Executive Office of Agricultural Sector, Police Chief, Head of Peasants Union, Internal Trade department, and Agricultural Bank and others.
