An official source has announced that contact was lost with Meg 21 jet that was on a training mission. The source said the plane, flown by Colonel Hassan Mera’ei Al-Hamada, was near Syria’s southern borders before contact was lost with it at 10.34 a.m. today.
In Amman, a Jordanian government source told Agence France Press that the plane had an emergency landing north of Jordan.
