Prime Minister, Riyad Hijab, chaired a meeting at the Ministry of Electricity yesterday, and inspected the situation of the electricity sector and the necessary requirements to carry out energy projects.

Premier Hijab said that the government will work to provide all requirements necessary to: establish electricity, generate plants and financially support the electrical sector, as a vital and strategic sector for citizens. Minister of Electricity Imad Khamis reviewed the Ministry's work-plan and strategy to generate, transfer and distribute energy, calling for paying more attention to renewable energy projects and announcing bids to private sector companies.
