Damascus University students donate blood in support of army
Over 100 students from the University of Damascus carried out Thursday a blood donation campaign for injured soldiers, in an expression of unabated feelings of support for the army and deep appreciation of their sacrifices.

The campaign, carried out at the University Blood Center, is meant to express the participants’ dogged determination to “take up arms, alongside their weapon of knowledge” to rout the terrorism ravaging the country, according to the participants.

“Donating blood is a very small thing when compared to the great sacrifices made by the army on the battlefield,” said one of the donors, who are taking part in a training camp.

Ashraf Saleh of Damascus Branch of the National Union of Syrian Students said the campaign “is a tribute of loyalty to the injured army members without whom we couldn’t have held our ground in the face of terrorists that streamed into Syria from over 83 countries.”
