Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi stressed the key role of Syrian expatriates in supporting and strengthening the will of Syrian people to face the crisis which is still raging on in the country since 2011.
The Minister’s comments came during a meeting with a delegation from the Syrian community in Brussels on Wednesday.
Al-Zoubi highlighted the steadfastness of the Syrian people, leadership, and government, as well as the remarkable achievements of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces under the current circumstances.
He noted that the conspiracy against Syria aims at undermining its national stances and principles and the unity of its society, adding that the world has started to realize the reality of events taking place in Syria and the armed terrorist organizations which became a threat to the whole region and the world.
For their part, the delegation members said that the western media circulated a lot of false news about the situation in Syria, indicating that the Europeans started to realize the danger posed to their countries by ISIS.
They asserted the solidarity of Syrian expatriates with their homeland against terrorism, lauding the victories achieved by the Syrian army in order to protect Syria’s security, stability, history, and civilization.
