Prime Minister Imad Khamis discussed on Tuesday with Said bin Saleh al- Kiyoumi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, means of strengthening economic and investment ties connecting Syria and Oman and the important role of private sector in this field.

Khamis briefed al- Kiyoumi on the government’s plan to develop the economic sector and activate the role of businessmen and investors during the upcoming stage following the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army in various areas, noting that the priority of investments in Syria will be given to the businessmen from the friendly and brotherly countries which stood by Syria in its war against terrorism.

He added that Syria has started the phase of economic recovery, clarifying that the government is working to issue a developed legislative environment for the investment in a way that facilitates procedures for the investors.
