Providing power for 150 factories at al-Kallaseh industrial zone of Aleppo
Providing power for 150 factories at al-Kallaseh industrial zone of Aleppo
150 small and medium industrial establishments operating in al-Kallaseh industrial zone in Aleppo city were supplied with electricity on Thursday.

Director General of Aleppo Power Company, Mohammad Saleh, said that the process of rehabilitating electricity network in al-Kallaseh industrial zone started three months ago.

“We have completed the first phase of supplying power, which is meant to feed 150 industrial establishments with power through installing 13 power transmission stations.

Our plan is to provide all industrial facilities in Aleppo with electricity within the framework of programs that aim at supporting the industrial sector,” he added.

Aleppo Chamber of Industry previously called for rehabilitating electric power transmission stations and network to supply the area with the power.

“It is important to bring power to al-Kallaseh which is one of the oldest industrial zones in Aleppo, ”Head of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry Fares al-Shihabi said.

“Supply the area with power means bringing hundreds of workshops, and small and medium factories back to work. It will also contribute to the recovery of the industry and production growth,” al-Shihabi.

Head of al-Kallaseh Industrial Zone’s Committee Nadim al-Atrash asserted that supplying the zone with electricity power is a significant stride that would encourage the industrialists as it came in fulfillment to their demands of upgrading the work circumstances, and would be reflected positively on all industrial facilities.
