A monthly shopping festival, organized by the Damascus Chamber of Industry as part of the Live Syria 2015 campaign, was opened on Saturday evening at al-Jala’a Sports Complex in Damascus, with the participation of 55 companies.
Chairman of Damascus Chamber of Industry Samer al-Debs said that this festival will be held on monthly basis to encourage industrialists who remained in Syria and continue to work despite the current circumstances, adding that it will also help consumers find products at reasonable prices as there are considerable discounts ranging between 25 and 35%, with some discounts event reaching 50%.
He said the Chamber will participate in 8 events throughout 2015, and that this experience will be applied in other areas in the country.
A number of participants representing companies said this festival helps by providing an avenue for direct communication between producers and consumers, in addition to promoting brands and providing goods directly to consumers at lower prices when compared to conventional retail outlets, hoping that this initiative will prove successful.
This festival will continue until April 17th.
Live Syria 2015 is an initiative that will continue throughout the year with the participation of individuals, establishments, and companies from the public and private sectors with the aim of providing facilitations and services to people and improve their living standards.
