Syria Mod exhibition in Beirut concludes activities
The Syria Mod exhibition for textile industries and clothing, held at the Beirut International Exhibition and Leisure Center (BIEL), concluded its activities on Sunday.

The exhibition, organized by the Syrian Exporters Federation (SEF), the Syrian Clothing and Textiles Exporters Association, the Export Development and Promotion Agency (EDPA), and the Damascus and Aleppo Chambers of Industry, opened on Friday with the participation of over 100 Syrian companies, showcasing clothing for men, women, children, sportswear, embroideries, and hosiery, among other products and services.

The exhibition witnessed a good turnout, with businessmen from Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Yemen, and other Arab countries signing contracts with Syrian exhibitors.

Head of the SEF Mohammad al-Sawwah said the exhibition achieved its goals in helping Syrian industrialists preserve their presence in the exports scene, adding that it also proved that Syrian industry is able to persist regardless of difficult circumstances.

A number of exhibitors, including industrialists from Aleppo, said that they signed a number of contracts to export products to a number of Arab countries, and that Syria Mod has become the most important outlet for Syrian textiles and clothing manufacturers.

The Syria Mod exhibition covered an overall area of 3,000 square meters, and also featured exhibitions for leatherwork, art, and flowers and houseplants on the sideline. It should be noted that the flowers and plants exhibition was also a considerable success, and resulted in signing a number of contracts to export products.
