Pyongyang - Syria, represented by the General Establishment for International Expos and Markets, is participating in the 24th edition of Pyongyang Spring Festival for International Trade which kicked off on Tuesday with the participation of 280 bodies and companies from all over the world.
The Syrian pavilion, which expands over an area of 60 square meters, exhibits samples of textile industries such as synthetic yarns, mosaics, curtains and bedcovers, in addition to foodstuffs and medicines produced by public and private companies.
Visiting the Syrian pavilion, Deputy Prime Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Kang Sok, and the DPRK's Minister of Foreign Trade, Ri Ryong, expressed appreciation for the Syrian participation which contributes to beefing up the fruitful cooperation binding the two countries.
Syria's participation in the event comes in the framework of the cooperation agreement and the similar participation as the DPRK will participate in the next session of Damascus International Fair.
