The People’s Assembly held its fifth meeting in the first ordinary course of the legislative period. The assembly discussed the draft laws referred to it by the President of the Republic and the report of the office of the assembly containing the proposal to form new permanent committees.

During the meeting, members of the parliament suggested to form four new committees relating to the public freedom, human rights, the rights of women, children, family and youth in addition to the freedom of press, printing and publishing.
