The ministers of the new cabinet take the constitutional oath in front of President Al Assad.
The new cabinet is the first in light of the new constitution. It comprises twenty new ministers and six new ministries as well.
Some ministerial portfolios are occupied by ministers from the national opposition and the independent, particularly those of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, the Minister of Internal Trade and Consumers Protection and the Minister of State for National Reconciliation Affairs.
