Lavrov discusses with Ki-Moon and Kerry the crisis in Syria
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed on Tuesday with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon the situation in Syria.

Sputnik new agency quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement that the two sides discussed, in a telephone call, the international critical issues, including the crisis in Syria and the situation in the Middle East and North Africa.

In the same context, Lavrov affirmed that Washington’s approval to send weapons, including air force systems, to the terrorist organizations in Syria would lead to new victims.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement quoted by RT that Lavrov, in a telephone call with US Secretary of State John Kerry, said it is unacceptable how the administration of Obama acts, from behind the curtains, aiming hindering the relations between Russia and the US.

The Russian foreign Ministry added that both sides discussed means to reach a settlement in Syria in light of the meetings held among defense and Foreign Ministers of Russia, Turkey and Iran on December 20th.
