Russian warships launch six cruise missiles against ISIS positions in Hama countryside
Russian Navy warships and a submarine in Mediterranean Sea launched six Kalibr cruise missiles against positions of ISIS terrorist organization in the eastern countryside of Hama.

Russian Defense Ministry said Friday in a statement that ” The Russian Navy’s Admiral Essen, Admiral Grigorovich frigates and Krasnodar submarine launched six Kalibr cruise missiles from the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea on ISIS terrorists’ targets in Hama countryside.”

The Ministry said that as the result of the intensive and surprise missiles attack, ISIS terrorists’ command posts, large ammunition depots , have been destroyed near the town of Akerbat in Hama countryside, where ISIS weapons depots detonated after a pinpoint hit by the Kalibr cruise missile.

The ministry reiterated the continuation of the military operations against ISIS in the countryside of Hama with all high precision weapons.

“Taking advantage of the dark time and a difficult ground relief, the terrorists deploy gunmen via various routes to the Hama province, where later they equip command posts and also depots of armaments and ammunition in large buildings,” the ministry added.

The ministry also noted that the command of Russia’s force grouping in Syria has launched a round-the-clock monitoring with the use of all kinds of intelligence on the routes of exit and dispersal areas of ISIS terrorists and that the detected terrorist targets are destroyed by high-precision weapons systems and aircraft of Russia’s Aerospace Forces.

The ministry warned of the continued attempts of ISIS terrorists to leave Raqqa and head to the area surrounding Tadmur (Palmyra) via the “southern corridor”.
