A child was injured on Friday due to terrorist rocket attack on al-Sankari village in Homs province.

SANA’s reporter in Homs said that a child was injured and material damage was caused to citizens’ properties when a rocket shell fired by terrorists fell in al-Sankari village in al-Mkharam area.

In a new breach of the Russian memorandum on de-escalation zones, the armed groups targeted al-Zara power plant in the southern countryside of Hama province with a number of rocket shells.

Electricity Ministry said in a statement that material damage was caused to al-Zara power plant due to targeting it with rocket shells by the armed groups.

The statement added that the workers of the plant have contained the damage caused by the shelling, noting that hours of electricity rationing will not be affected by this attack.

Later, SANA’s correspondent said that terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra fired a number of shells on residential neighborhoods in Salamiya city which is located around 30 km east of Hama city, killing and injuring a number of civilians and causing material damage to houses and properties.

A source at Salamiya National Hospital said that the bodies of 6 victims arrived at the hospital along with 19 people injured due to the attacks, adding that most of injured are women and 2 of them are in critical condition, meaning that the death toll is likely to rise.
