Leader of the National Wifaq Party in Egypt Mohammad Rifat stressed that the Syrian Arab Army who won the 1973 October Liberation War against Israel along with the Egyptian army is able to achieve victory again in the war against terrorism targeting Syria.

"The sixth of October has many indications; the most important of which is that when we get united in Syria and Egypt, we achieve victories," Rifat said in a statement to SANA on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of October Liberation War, which marked the greatest Arab victory over Israel.

He highlighted that the aggression facing Syria in which mercenaries from all over the world are involved has exposed the conspiracy targeting the entire Arab nation.

"It's certain that the matter is not one of 'Spring Revolutions' as promoted by the forces of neo-colonialism, but it is a conspiracy led by the Zionist-U.S. alliance and carried out by Islamists and terrorists funded by Turkey, Qatar and other countries," said Rifat.

He hailed Syria's steadfastness as being the main factor of unveiling the conspiracy, calling for restoring strength to the Syrian-Egyptian relations.
