Iranian Studies Center: Syrian peoples steadfastness foiled conspiracy against homeland
Chairman of the Iranian Studies Center Mohammad al-Khamenei stressed the necessity of deepening the relations of cooperation and friendship between Syria and Iran in all domains.

Meeting a Syrian media delegation embracing 31 journalists in Tehran on Monday, al-Khamenei underlined the importance of facing the media misleading campaigns, hailing the steadfastness of the Syrian people who have foiled the terrorist conspiracy hatched against their homeland.

He referred to the historic brotherly relations binding the two countries and their peoples in many domains such as the technical, scientific and media spheres, affirming the role of media in building societies.

For his part, Chairman of the Syrian Journalists Union Mousa Abdul-Nour expressed the Syrian people’s appreciation of the Iranian leadership and people for their standing by Syria in facing the terrorist war waged against it from seven years ago.

Abdul-Nour called for expanding the prospects of cooperation to cover the social, cultural and media domains in order to upgrade them to the level of the political and strategic relations between the two brotherly countries.

Earlier, the Syrian media delegation discussed with representatives of Iranian Ettelaat Foundation which publishes Ettelaat Newspaper during a visit to the foundation, means to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise between the Syrian and Iranian journalists in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly people.

Representatives of the Iranian Foundation highly appreciated the steadfastness of the Syrian people in the face of the terrorist conspiracy and the media war launched against them.

Abdul-Nour, in turn, noted that the Syrian media has remained steadfast in the face the media war and it has stood by the Syrian Army in the same trench as more than 50 journalists have been martyred.

He affirmed that Syria will achieve victory against terrorism thanks to the resilience of its people and the sacrifices by its army
