Hasaka governor discusses with delegations of UNHCR and WHO means to enhance cooperation
Hasaka Governor Jayez al-Moussa discussed on Thursday with the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Syria Sajad Malik means to enhance joint cooperation in order to alleviate the suffering of displaced people residing in the province.

The governor affirmed the Governorate’s readiness to provide all that is necessary to facilitate the work of the UNHCR in a way to alleviate the suffering of the displaced citizens affected by terrorism, calling on the UNHCR to support the project of drilling 20 wells in the cities of Hasaka and Qamishli to be alternative projects.

For his part, Malik hailed the efforts of the Syrian government and people in terms of providing assistance to the displaced families, pointing out that the visit aims to know the needs of the displaced persons and that the UNHCR will continue with the rest of the United Nations organizations to increase support for the province.

In a relevant context, Hasaka Governor met a delegation of the World Health Organization (WHO) and discussed with it the bilateral cooperation between the Governorate and the WHO and ways to increase the provided support.
