Al-Assad House for Arts and Culture hosted a gallery for painter Khalil Ikkari who exhibited a variety of paintings which tackled the theme of Syrian countryside and invoked a beautiful natural landscape.

 

 

Ikkari studied oil painting in the High Institute of Arts and Drama in and had a Master Degree in Fine Arts. He took part in twenty one different galleries inside and outside . Several international museums possess his paintings in and .

 

 

The artist told reporters: "It took me three years to prepare for the exhibition, focusing mainly on the relationship between the artist and his environment. Most of my paintings speak about nature, especially in Damascus . I have chosen autumn as a favorite season because it is marked with richness of colors and shades."

 

 

Hundreds of citizens visited Ekkari's exhibition which dedicated some of its paintings to honor Syrian novelist Hanna Mina through adopting some of his narrative themes.
