The Minister of Economy and Trade Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar and his Iranian counterpart inaugurated the first Syrian exhibition in which over 300 Syrian companies are taking part.

 

 

The 2 ministers pointed out that this event is a good opportunity to enter into new markets and showcases their products. The two sides considered that the exhibition is a product of the free trade agreement between the two countries, underlining the importance of increasing the trade exchange and over coming obstacles hindering it. They described the bilateral relations in all fields as strategic, stressing the important role that the businessmen and industrialists play in upgrading trade exchange.

 

 

It is to be noted that the exhibition is the first since the free trade agreement between them, which came into effect on March 11

 

 

Within the framework of the close cooperation between Syria and Iran. The Syrian minister of economy and the Iranian minister of industry announced that they agreed on reducing the customs duties on all the goods that are included in the free trade agreement.

 

 

This announcement came during the inauguration of the Syrian exhibition in Tehran, as the first step in implementing the free trade agreement between the 2 countries.
