Under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, the artist Mohammad Hisham Al Khayat set up a photo gallery in the cultural department in Abu Roumana. The gallery included pictures and portraits of historical Damascene houses, trees, flowers and animals. The artist Al Khayat is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture. He has taken part in several gallery, and he is interested in documenting the old city of Damascus in his works.
