Turkish writer: it was ironic that Erdogan’s government accused other states of lack of democracy
The Turkish writer Naljon Jarah Oglo wrote in the Turkish paper Jumhoriet that it was ironic that Erdogan’s government accused other states of lack of democracy, while it suppressed university students and press reporters with campaigns of collective detention. The arrested people spend months and years in jail. The writer pointed out that many academic figures in France signed a statement published by Le Monde, accusing Erdogan’s government of being a savage dictatorial and arrogant regime, preventing the publication of research and books on political sciences, considering this a criminal act. Mrs. Oglo called upon the Erdogan government to concentrate on what was happening inside Turkey, instead of giving press reporters moral lessons about the Syrian question.
