Gatilov: No Consensus on UN Investigation Mission to Syria
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Gennady Gatilov, said on Tuesday that the UN investigation mission on the use of chemical weapons in Syria cannot enter the country because there is no consensus on the mission.

Russia Today website reported Gatilov as saying that the desire of the UN to investigate in all Syrian territories is not acceptable for Damascus.

Gatilov pointed out that expanding the mission is not acceptable for the Syrian authorities because it means unlimited inspection and unspecified mission in terms of time and size.

Russia's Partners Don't Show Desire to Hold meetings for the work group



On a different note, Gatilov underlined that Russia's partners don’t show any desire in holding new meetings for the Work Group on Syria.



" Our partners don't show any reaction on this supposition.. they have no desire in holding any meeting in this framework," Gatilov said in a speech to ITAR TASS.



He added that Moscow, through its communications with the Syrian government, always talks about the necessity for the government to continue efforts in order to move the process from "the point of freeze" in order to start the political dialogue.
