Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia has no doubt that Jabhat al-Nusra will get the Western weapons in case of importing to Syria.

"The difference between Russian and the West is related to the means of settling the crisis in Syria not on the final goals, Lavrov added in an interview with Russia 24 TV channel on Thursday.

He asserted that "all sides don't want the repetition of the Iraqi scenario in Syria."

Lavrov said that the Syrian leadership confirmed to Moscow its approval on the recommendations of G-8 summit and reiterated readiness to participate in the upcoming international conference on Syria.

In the same context, the Russian Minister pointed out that the Western countries are not sure that they will be able to convince the opposition of the necessity of taking part in the conference
