PM: We will only cooperate with Syria’s friends in reconstruction stage

Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi said the reconstruction stage in the country demands that more efforts are exerted to expand and activate bilateral relations with the friendly countries.
Al-Halqi was speaking during a meeting on Saturday with heads and deputy heads of the joint Syrian business councils with Russia, Iran, China, Belarus, Ukraine and Armenia.
He expressed the need for direct contact with the economic companies in the friendly countries and completing suspended projects and facilitating measures for contribution to the reconstruction process in Syria.
A review of the government’s plans and programs set for the reconstruction stage was put forth by Premier al-Halqi during the meeting.
“In the reconstruction stage, we will only cooperate with the friends and the homeland’s enemies have no room in Syria,” al-Halqi stressed, noting that the national sector with its skills, experience and capabilities will be the larger contributor to the reconstruction process.
"The government will rebuild and reconstruct every single inch of Syrian land and won\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t allow any terrorist to remain there,\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' PM said.
Heads and deputy heads of joint Syrian businessmen councils expressed readiness to exert all necessary efforts to develop economic, industrial, trade and agricultural sectors, as well as forging strategic visions and opening new markets for Syrian products in friendly countries.
In statements to journalists following the meeting, Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Khodr Orfali said the meeting was important for it outlined main guidelines and directives for the reconstruction phase.
