DAMASCUS, (ST) - Chairman of Syrian Exporters’ Federation (SEF) Mohammed al -Sawah confirmed that the textile and clothing sector is almost recovering.
“Ensuring necessary raw materials in addition to the reduction of fees and customs duties formed a positive step to help in the growth of this sector,” Mr. al –Sawah said.

Textile exports, according to Mr. al –Sawah, witnessed growth that requires discharge markets the most important is Lebanon, Iraq, Algeria, Tunisia and Italy. The exhibitions in "Syria, Lebanon and Egypt" formed a true sale window through which to communicate with Customers of importers also it delivered a message to the world that Syria is a living and producer country.
"The sector of children clothes in Damascus, Damascus Countryside and the rest of the provinces except Aleppo recovered and many factories and workshops were rehabilitated in the safe areas," he explained.
