American writer and journalist  Seymour Hersh shed light on a number of facts concerning the crisis in Syria, regional changes and the war against terrorism, confirming that Syria will overcome the current crisis and calling the so-called "opposition" to open a dialogue with the Syrian Government

In an interview with the participants in the seventh Forum of "Areej"  Network, held in Amman and broadcasted by media channels, Hersh said:  "Syria will overcome the current crisis. I would advise the "opposition" to negotiate with the Syrian government, stressing that there is no longer the so-called "Free Army".

Hersh said that US President Barack Obama lied about accusing the Syrian army of using chemicals against civilians.  However, the facts proved that the terrorist organizations in cooperation with Turkey were the ones who actually used them.  Hersh confirmed that this kind of chemicals are not available with the Syrian army, the fact that was clarified later when the latter delivered the chemical weapons it had to the OPCW.

Based on his meetings with US officials, Hersh anticipated  that a new "game will be crystallized"  in the region, in which Iran will be a key player.  According to Hersh, the case of the Iranian nuclear dossier is now over.

Hersh pointed out that within the regional framework and the war against ISIS,  many events must be unfolded  including new alliances which are under crystallization, considering that there is a radical change happening in the region and this is a source of annoyance for the  America's traditional allies particularly Saudi Arabia.
Hersh added that the Arab journalists are experiencing difficult times amid the current unrest,  but also saw that this can be the start of a "golden age" to develop real journalism.
