Logoglu: If CHP participates in any coalition government, it would change Turkish policy towards Syria
Ankara, SANA if our party participates in any coalition government, it would first change Turkish policy towards Syria.. We will not offer arms for different parties in Syria and we will open our doors and extend our hands to the government and enhance the outcome of Geneva process.. Those are tangible steps not theories

and are work plans which our party is outlining. Deputy Chairman of the Turkish
Republican People’s Party (CHP) Faruk Logoglu pledged Monday.

The future of Syria should be determined by the Syrian People, Logoglu said in an interview with the Lebanese al-Mayadeen TV, adding that We will work for supporting the choices of the people of the region not the choices of Muslim Brotherhoods and we will not interfere in the internal affairs of any other country.

Logoglu called upon the Turkish opposition parties to agree on common goals for the formation of the upcoming government and not to abandon the principles “because what is important is adopting a responsible policy that maintains good relations with the neighboring countries including Syria and Iraq”.

CHP Deputy Chairman elaborated that the outcome of the parliamentary elections thwarted Erdogan’s ambitions to solely govern Turkey and put an end to his desire to switch the country from a parliamentary to a presidential system.

Logoglu added that Erdogan’s Justice and Development Party (AKP)has suffered a crushing defeat as a result of losing majority in the elections which paved the way for the Turkish people to take their decision.

The results of the elections clearly showed that the Turkish people don’t want a government in which the AKP presents a main pillar in the light of the significant deterioration of the Turkish Economy.

AKP suffered a significant setback in the parliamentary election held sunday on which the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was relaying on for rewriting the country’s constitution in a way that allowed him to gain full executive authorities.

Erdogan’s governing Party (AKP) won the election with around 40,79 % of the votes, this percentage gave it an estimated 258 seats in Turkish Parliament, the Turkish Republican People’s Party (CHP) led by Kamal Klijdar Ihsanoglu ranked second with 25,1% of the votes and took 132 seats, while the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) led by Devlet Bahceli won the third position with 16,4 % and took 81 seats.
