Premier Khamis inspects service and developmental projects in Hama
Upon directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Prime Minister Imad Khamis, accompanied by a ministerial delegation, started on Friday a work visit to Hama, Lattakia and Tartous provinces.

The visit aims at following up the implementation of service and vital projects which have been launched earlier and whose cornerstones have been recently laid.

Visiting Masyaf city in Hama Province, Khamis reviewed service and developmental situation in the city, in addition to the plans and programs which aim at improving the investment environment and find developmental and economic projects which contribute to upgrading the financial and social status of citizens.

“Masyaf possesses several agricultural, productive and tourist potentials which, if invested as required, would achieve wide steps on the level of economic, social and service resuscitation in the area, Khamis said.

For his part, Hama Governor Mohammad al-Hazouri presented a review on the projects which were launched and measures taken recently in Masyaf area that have reflected positively on various sectors in the area.

Al-Hazouri said that Hama governorate, in implementation of the government’s directives, gave top priority to the issue of martyrs’ families .

The Premier inspected a number of developmental projects in Masyaf city, including the project of drinking water reservoir, the sewage treatment project and Jeb Ramleh ranch station project.

Meanwhile, Premier Khamis called for adopting a comprehensive and mature vision in the developmental projects and applying true investment visions that will constitute a main basis for building an intact economy that comes in line with the successive victories achieved by the Syrian army against terrorism.

Meeting a number of members of the municipality, Chairmen of the city councils and a number of figures, Khamis said “Syria needs to carry out small and medium enterprises to push forwards the wheel of its economic and developmental situation, and the government is ready to support and finance any project.”

He clarified that the Government will not establish any faculty at any college without guaranteeing the infrastructure and the required cadre.

For his part, Minister of Water Resources Nabil al-Hassan presented a review on the steps taken by a ministerial committee tasked with following up the implemented projects and the underway projects in Hama.

Al-Hassan added that many of the demands of the popular and civil activities in Hama have been met in different domains and sectors.

Premier Khamis reiterated that the Government is ready to provide all facilitations for industrialists, merchants, investors, contractors and peasants to improve the situation of different productive sectors.

Meeting a number of economic and trade figures, Khamis said that the Government has set a plan for launching a human development under the title “Syria Project in the Aftermath of Crisis.”

He added that the plan will be achieved through national cadres who will seek to rebuild all sectors in Syria from the cultural, economic and political sides.

In turn, a number of participants in the meeting proposed their interpositions and suggestions on providing more support and facilitations to investors at the industrial and productive sectors along with providing the needs of the agricultural sector.

Chairmen of chambers of commerce, industry and agriculture and a number of traders, industrialists and exporters reviewed the problems facing them such as the routine measures.

At the end of the meeting, Minister of Local Administration Hussein Makhlouf said in a statement that the visit of the governmental work team to Hama gave a strong incentive to a bunch of the developmental projects.

In a similar statement, Hama Governor said that the province will witness qualitative leaps on the level of establishing projects that have strategic and developmental dimensions, reiterating readiness to support any investment initiative or project.
