In line with a developing economy and balanced international policy, the Federation of Russia is going ahead to its natural position year after year as it is implementing its national strategy which was founded by its current leadership headed by President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
The 23rd anniversary of Russia's National Day comes this year as it is consolidating its internal strengths and its position in the world as an open, stable and sovereign country since the first conference of the representatives of the people of the Republic of the Russian Socialist Federation was held in 1990.
During the past two years, Russia worked at the UN Security Council and organizations to prevent western attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of Syria through triple veto along with China.
Russia has always highlighted commitment to the principles of the international law and its defense of the peoples' right to decide their destiny without foreign interference or pressure as it worked tirelessly to end the crisis in Syria through paving the ground for political solution based on national dialogue among the Syrians.
Russia has condemned all forms of terrorism anywhere in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Mali and all countries where al-Qaeda is being active.
The distinguished relations between the Syrian and Russian peoples had a large effect on easing the suffering of the Syrians because of the economic sanctions and the terrorist aggression. The Russian people sent humanitarian aid and consolidated commercial ties which make about 20% of the Russian commercial exchange volume with all Arab countries.
Russia is a member of the BRICS group which combines, Brazil, China, South Africa, India and Russia. The BRICS is expected in the long term to have a share of 50% of the international markets by the year 2050.
