President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday issued decree No. 214 for the year 2018 on setting September 16th as the date for holding election of local councils’ members.

President al-Assad also issued the law No. /24/ for the year /2018/ which stipulates for amending some provisions of the penal code issued according to the legislative decree No. /148/ on 22/06/1949 which are related to concluding marriage contracts outside the competent courts.
