Cham Wings Cham Wings announced that it successfully operated its first flight between Damascus and Qamishli Saturday. The company management said that occcupancy was excellent for a first flight and that 130 passengers came back from Qamishli to Damascus airport. Moreover, the first Cham Wings flight between Latakia and Qamishli took off yesterday afternoon.
Cham Wings management confirmed that flights were punctual and that technical preparedness was assured under direct supervision from the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority for passengers safety. Passengers expressed their satisfaction with comfort, timing and affordability.
In 2008, Cham Wings was the first licensed private airliner in Syria. It managed to build a good reputation quickly. In spite of operational hold in the last two years, the company maintained its technical and managerial staff. Cham Wings fleet is composed of two AVRO and one MD83 planes. An Airbus 320 is expected to join the fleet shortly. The company will operate several flights a week between Qamishli and both Damascus and Latakia
