Khamis went on to say that the government hopes the Fairgrounds would be a platform for different continuous economic, investment, culture and entertaining activities.
Earlier, the government delegation started its visit to the Fairgrounds by honoring the staff who made the 59th edition of the Fair as successful.
“The 59th round of Damascus International Fair that came after years of suspension was a direct declaration of Syria’s victory in its war against terrorism and a recovery for the production wheel,” Khamis added.
He affirmed that that the government adopts a balanced economic policy which leads to a stability in the price of Syrian pound, saying that the improvement in the price of the Lira in front of Dollar will decrease the prices of goods and raise the citizen’s purchasing capability.
