The number of gas cylinders that were sold to the citizens during the first half of the year has amounted to 233 thousand ones. Engineer, Abdullah Khatab, General Director of the Fuel Company, said that the company was able to meet the needs of the citizens, as more than 400 thousand cylinders were maintained during the first quarter of the year, pointing out that the consumption of fuel oil has increased 3 percent than the same period last year, and the sales for the first quarter of the year has reached 2 billion liters, including 800 million liters that were imported.
With regard to the consumption of gasoline, Mr alKhatab said that it is the only substance that is sold without losses, adding that the sales for the first quarter of the year have reached 460 million liters, with an 18 percent decrease than the same period last year.
