Aleppo - Minister of Economy and Trade Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar stressed the ministry's keenness to contribute along with the concerned authorities to ensuring the necessary requirements for livestock development and conservation, overcoming difficulties that may hinder imports and exports and ensuring local market’s needs at affordable prices.
At a meeting held on Thursday with the representatives of economic and commercial circles as well as exporters of livestock from various governorates, al-Shaar affirmed the importance of livestock in supporting the national economy and the need to keep in contact with various circles so as to take appropriate decisions.
The Minister pointed out that important economic decisions will be taken in the coming period to boost citizens’ living conditions and support development plans in various reform areas.
Livestock exporters stressed the need to maintain the coordination between the ministry and various circles and to work out controls to organize exports so that the permitted export number of sheep reaches one million head a year.
