Children’s festival in Damascus brings together 7 thousand children from several governorates
7 thousand children from the provinces of Damascus, Damascus countryside and Quneitra took part in a central festival for children organized by al-Baath Vanguards Organization at al-Jalaa’ Sports City in Damascus.

Assistant Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party, Hilal al-Hilal said during an inaugural speech that the national upbringing of the Syrian people has generated courageous soldiers who are defending their lands with unequalled valor.

“The mission of combating terrorism originated in the components of the Syrian people who imbibed patriotism that is inherent in their minds and souls,’’ added al-Hilal.

He said the global war waged against Syria targets not a certain political system or party, but it is a war waged on all components of the Syrian people and land, affirming that the Syrians won’t be disheartened by the fierce hostile campaigns.

Head of al-Baath Vanguards Organization, Dr. Izzat Arabi Katbi said Syria has been in the grip of a takfiri project whose aim is “to subvert children’s thoughts and nip their dreams in the bud.”

The chief said the organization supports a Syria that is safe and secure, expressing confidence in the Syrian army which is leading Syria to an imminent victory.

Children interviewed by SANA, among them sons and daughters of martyrs, said they are determined to defy terrorism that is robbing them of childhood and shattering their dreams.
