60 couples including army personnel and martyrs’ relatives celebrated in collective wedding in Lattakia
A marriage ceremony involving 60 couples who include army members and relatives of martyrs was held in Lattakia, sponsored by Syriatel telecommunications Company.

To the music of honor, the grooms and brides entered the hall where the ceremony was held exuding a sense of pride, with smiles drawn on their faces, amid a wide participation of official, social and artistic figures.

Delivering a speech on behalf of the army members and martyrs’ relatives who were getting married, Mohammad Ahmad al-Salloum, a wounded soldier, affirmed that “We will continue walking the path of sacrifice until we attain victory or martyrdom.”

“The martyrs’ sacrifices will not go in vain…the Syrian people are fully aware of their destination and who their enemies are,” al-Salloum said.

Director of Media Department in Syriatel company Alaa Salmour said the collective wedding, held under the motto “Together in good times and in bad”, is an assertion of effective national contribution towards “the loyal people of Syria.”

He stressed that the company is committed to a program it has launched to support martyrs’ relatives within which the wedding was held “in a step to make their dream of starting their small households come true.”

For her part, Kinda Nassar, chairperson of “Darb” volunteer group, voiced happiness over having been given the opportunity to partake in the collective wedding and help get the ceremony fully accomplished.

“Our happiness is indescribable to be part of this party which has brought together a large number of patriotic Syrians who have at one moment managed to triumph over their sadness and grief and be with us,” said officer Hassan Suleiman and his bride Lujain Ghleisseh.

Officer Adham Abdo and his bride Amina also expressed unspeakable happiness, sayign it was “a big surprise” for us to be selected to join the other couples.

Other members of the Syrian army voiced hope that this celebration “will be crowned by celebrating Syria’s resounding victory over terrorism.”
